AFC DIVISIONAL PLAYOFFS: Pittsburgh 20 Cleveland 17
Pittsburgh QB and game MVP Neil O'Donnell's 11 yards TD pass to TE Eric Green with
24 seconds left in regulation lifted the Steelers over the Browns 20 -17 and sends the Steelers to the AFC Championship Game next week, where they will face the San Diego Chargers at home. The Steeler Offense had 445 yards of total Offense to the Browns 234 yards, However, the Browns' Defense turn back the Steeler Offense 5 times inside the Cleveland 20 yardline. So, with a 1:52 left in the game, the Browns leading 17 - 13 and Steeler on the Browns 7 yardline with a first and goal. Cleveland Safety Eric Turner Intercepted a short pass intended for Steelers TE Eric Green and a Cleveland Victory seemed assured. However, the Steeler Defense stopped the Browns on they next possession and got the ball back with 1:28 left to play. Then QBs Neil O'Donnell and Mike Tomczak marched the Steelers 63 yards in 1:13 with no time outs to the winning TD. The final score Pittsburgh 20 - Cleveland 17.
