Cincinnati 24 Jacksonville 21

Well, for the 1st time this season, I feel like the Jags are trending up, and for the 1st time all season, I feel like the coaching cost this team the win.

I had an incredibly hot quarterback, for some unknown reason, as Beuerline played for the injured Brunell, and he completed his first eleven passes; on the day, 31-for-39 for 367.  QBR of 101.6

Granted he did throw a deadly pick driving down to tie the game, down 24-21 late in Q4 on a 3rd-and-3 play, but that was not the ballgame.

The Cincy pass rush is strong so we often kept the back in blocking and many times the TE as well.  Jax even had its best WR hurth this game, Willie Jackson.  Givens, Desmond Howard and Smith all contributed.

Jax scored the game's first 2 TD's...taking a 14-0 lead, only to see Cincy score the next 24.  Just could not recover....exacerbated by.....

...... my stupidity for having Jimmy Smith, WR with very little contribution on offense in this 1995 season, continue to return kickoffs.  He had 24 in real life, he was at 41 heading into this game.  (checked midgame as it was too late) I was not aware that you can be "TIRED" from only returning kicks for a living, so Smith's contribution to my Jags KR efforts were three 10 yard returns, one of them a lost fumble leading to a TD for Cincy.

Frank called a good game.  Pickens is a beast as a wideout.  He managed Jeff Blake thru a bad game.  But I think I blew this one.
